Anyway I’m off to bed nice thread ![]()
The oroblem is anything with a bad foundation crumbles instead . Thomas Jefferson and his wild and lavish parties with the beginning of the press sealed the press fate
It’s all about money with the press and and it ways has been
And your asking the wrong question . The press always has to be right to be anything of substance, it’s bad foundation and mr Jefferson sealed its fate though in the end
The press is outdated , assange had the right idea , turn from news into exposing news
The education system with a new lgtbq influence entered the press from collages sprouting that Lincoln was a democrat - all Hillary’s doing
https://foxnews.com/politics/college-plaque-in-land-of-lincoln-labels-abe-a-democrat
Again we go back to a bad foundation at universities. Poisoning the mind of the youth, whom entered the press
Hillary made a fortune sprouting this mess yep, must be careful what I say
Your going to far back Lincoln freed the slaves in a nutshell . Fast forward many years and mr Hoover got frightened by Martin Luther king . He organized a switch of parties blacks would support democrats , undermining thier republican led freedoms from slavery again and again we go back to foundations becoming undone. But Hoover did it convinced black people not to vote for whom freed them ultimately undoing Luther’s work , and paving a way for a government that can hide it’s mistakes and truly proving the will of the people can be changed ,
Disaster. Trump and his team lack the fundamental skills and education to get what they need across the line. Given much of what they preached was fiction following through in any meaningful way on much of it is impossible. The Democrats fought an awful campaign, but still alarming that it played out like this. I will avoid for a few years and hope that they don’t cause too many damaging ripples in Europe.
Quite a feat from Hoover considering democrats owned the slavery boats and the channels
The so called party switch undone both parties, but it worked for Hoover he stoped the black getting funds instead of black peoples getting action , they got a piece of paper civil rights act which sent them poor
Weakening the American foundation , yet again
A few Republicans are pondering with mild concern, as they should be.
Poverty line coming after Hoover weakened America , and made some people very rich
To be fair to them, I think even a lot of Republican economists learned (after acknowledging that the 2008 financial crash was a dreadful but maybe inevitable long-term consequence of all the Reagan deregulation of the 1980s) that reducing regulation typically leads to some terrible -though always unintended and unforeseen - outcomes.
Deregulation is on the table for many industries
How Donald Trump’s AI Deregulation Could Reshape The Music Industry
Donald Trump’s re-election and his AI policy stance could reshape music copyright and licensing. With a focus on deregulation, Trump’s approach may favor tech innovation over traditional protections, creating both risks and opportunities for the music industry.
Interest in AI policy exploded since Trump left the White House. The Biden administration issued a series of major reports, agency memorandums, and an extensive executive order, often referred to as the “AI Bill of Rights.” This order emphasizes government oversight of AI, focusing on privacy, ethical AI use, and “algorithmic fairness.” These policies view AI with caution, highlighting potential harms, such as being “unsafe, ineffective or biased” and “deeply harmful.”
State-level interest in regulating AI has also expanded rapidly, with almost 750 federal and state bills introduced across America. Some states, like Colorado, have enacted comprehensive AI regulations addressing fairness and safety (CAIA), while California proposed major AI regulation focused on “existential risk,” envisioning AI as a potential catastrophic threat.
Although vetoed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in September, other AI-related bills in various states address concerns around online safety, elections, copyright and deepfakes. This regulatory momentum, largely focused on perceived AI risks, has heightened calls for a national AI framework, as the patchwork of state-level regulations may stifle AI innovation.
Expanding Fair Use For AI Data Training
One of the most immediate potential shifts under Trump’s administration is the dismantling of the AI Bill, a move Trump has suggested taking immediately upon returning to office. This Bill currently includes licensing measures that protect copyrighted content used in data training. The repeal of this framework could ease licensing requirements for AI developers, allowing them to train models on music data without compensating artists.
How Donald Trump’s AI Deregulation Could Reshape The Music Industry
They absolutely did.
They weren’t helped by Biden only withdrawing at the last minute, though. A year or two earlier would surely have helped them?
That’s optimistic. I can’t see anything going well.
Yes, certainly.
But if you look at the differences between the staff and cabinet appointments last time around and this time around, and at what he said during the campaign about his plans for staff and cabinet appointments this time around, it’s pretty clear that he’s desperate to avoid what happened last time, when anyone with any sense of ethics, honesty, decency, public service and so on eventually fell out with him completely and just ended up shaming him and calling out his appalling dishonesty in public.
He naturally wants to avoid a repeat of that.
But that means that loyalty to him is now his primary concern, so he’s necessarily appointing people without those “fundamental skills and education to get what they need across the line” (as you so very tactfully worded it!).
The question is how much damage they’ll collectively do, nationally and unfortunately internationally, too. Right now, it’s all looking about as bad as it could.
Regulations were designed not to be burdensome, but rather to target the misconduct of individuals and corporations which prompted government intervention in revising and expanding regulations to adapt to the present circumstances.
Outdated elements and things that may be a burden may need to be removed, but it’s important to acknowledge that we reached this stage due to misconduct.
